1. God and the Holy Trinity

We believe in the one true and living God, the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all. He is eternally sovereign, holy, and just. God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity as one essence and being, yet revealed in three distinct, co-equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they possess equal power and authority, united in perfect love and purpose.

  • The Father: God is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, and unchanging. He is holy, loving, and faithful to His people and His promises.

  • The Son: Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh—fully God and fully human. He is the promised Messiah, sent to redeem a broken world.

  • The Holy Spirit: The Spirit is the active presence of God within us, convicting us of sin, guiding us into truth, and transforming believers into the likeness of Christ.

Exodus 20:3-5; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:10, 16; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

2. The Bible

The Christian scriptures, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, are the divinely inspired Word of God. Written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error. It is clear, reliable, and complete, providing the foundation for our faith, daily living, and our understanding of God’s plan for salvation.

Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21.

3. Humanity (Man)

Humans are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. Every person is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect. Though created for fellowship with God, humanity became separated from Him through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is unable to restore this relationship through his own efforts or good works.

Genesis 1:26-30; Psalm 8:3-6; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3.

4. Sin and Repentance

Sin is any thought, word, or action that falls short of God’s glory and separates us from His presence. Repentance is the act of turning away from sin and seeking forgiveness. Through the conviction of the Holy Spirit and faith in Christ, we are forgiven, cleansed, and restored into a right relationship with God.

Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:9.

5. Salvation and the Finished Work of Christ

Salvation is a gift from God, available only through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus lived a sinless life and died an atoning death on the cross, He satisfied God’s demand for perfection. His "finished work" (John 19:30) means no further sacrifice is needed; He broke the power of sin and defeated death through His resurrection. We are justified by faith, not by works, and are adopted as children of God.

John 1:12; 3:16; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Hebrews 10:10-14.

6. Sacraments: Baptism and Holy Communion

We practice these sacred acts in obedience to the commands of Jesus Christ:

  • Baptism: An outward expression of an inward transformation. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. While baptism does not save us, it is a public declaration of faith and a step of obedience.

  • Holy Communion: Also known as the Lord’s Supper, we partake in the bread and the cup to remember Christ’s broken body and shed blood. We receive these elements with reverence, proclaiming His death until He returns.

Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 22:19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:24-26.

7. The Church

The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is the body of Christ on earth, committed to His teachings and obeying His commands. The Church works together in love to glorify Christ and is tasked with the mission of bringing the Gospel to the whole world.

Matthew 16:18-19; Acts 2:41-47; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 1:22-23.

8. Eternity: Life and Judgment

Humanity was created to exist forever. We believe in a future life of reward or punishment based on one's faith in Jesus Christ. To be eternally separated from God by sin is Hell; to be eternally in union with God through His forgiveness is Heaven. Jesus has conquered death, offering the hope of everlasting life to all who believe.

John 3:16, 36; Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:11-13; Revelation 20:15.
