Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pastor Michael Anthony Day, the youngest of six siblings, emerged as a gifted musician from an early age. He began playing music for his grandfather's church at the tender age of five, an early indication of the profound impact he would have on the world.
At the age of 14, Pastor Day accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This transformative experience ignited a fervent passion for ministry, leading him to begin teaching Sunday School at just 16. By the age of 20, he had already delivered his first sermon, a clear testament to God's calling upon his life.
Pastor Day's musical talents were nurtured throughout his education. He received rigorous classical training, beginning with his middle school years at the prestigious West Liberty Classical Academy, where he excelled in Theater and Chorus. He continued his musical journey at the Creative and Performing Arts School (CAPA) in high school and further honed his skills at Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) before completing his studies at Duquesne University.
Pastor Day's exceptional musical gifts have taken him around the globe. He has shared the stage with renowned Christian and Gospel music artists, including Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, Karen Clark Sheard, Kim Burrell, Rance Allen, Tonex, Daryl Coley, Chris Tomlin, Kirk Franklin, and Smokie Norful. Moreover, he served as the esteemed Music Director for the late Dr. Douglas Miller for over a decade.
A true Renaissance Man, Pastor Day is a successful entrepreneur as the CEO of MAD Enterprises, a company providing professional services to the Music and Entertainment industry. He is also a dedicated philanthropist, serving as President and Founder of Legacy Community Options for all People (LCOP Inc.), a non-profit organization that empowers underserved communities. Through a wide range of programs, services, and annual events, LCOP impacts the lives of thousands. Furthermore, as a Community Development Corporation, LCOP plays a crucial role in providing affordable housing options for residents within the city of Pittsburgh.
In 2015, Pastors Michael and Amber founded Legacy International Worship Center, a church renowned for its emphasis on discipleship, community, and the experience of miracles. At Legacy, everyone is loved and welcomed. Pastor Day serves as a mentor and overseer for other pastors, provides consulting services to numerous churches, and sits on several boards.
Pastor Day is deeply committed to living a life that reflects his unwavering faith in God.
